What a GREAT story. Hopefully Buster will make a full recovery.

I hope so too.
I was a little annoyed at the comment the lady said about "there being SOME good" in pits, but whatever. A lot of people are ignorant but it doesn't make them bad people. It just makes me sad that they assume ALL of them are monsters.

I saw that on FB and thought the same thing about the ladies comment....as we all know I LOVE LOVE LOVE pitbulls, so its nice to see a positive thing said about them, anywayPitbulls have never been shown to be people agressive, and if they were I certainly wouldn't let one get that close to mah pretty face
<<<<<<<<---------------------
a pitbull bit my pup's nose today at the dog park and he bled everywhere.... but it could have been any breed... that's just what untrained/abused dogs do... unfortunately pits are one of the most often untrained/abused dogs because of people's own ignorance and irresponsibility when they choose to be their guardian. The girl who had the pit said she just adopted him from a rescue and he was 3 years old and had been abused- so sad.
^^^
Well that pisses me off. (HER, not you obviously!) Why would you bring that dog to the dog park then? That's awesome she rescued the dog, seriously, but there should be some sort of mandatory training class before rescuing one. KWIM?
I actually don't take my dogs to the park for the reason of, even if a dog ran up to them and started attacking THEM, of course my dogs would be the ones to get blamed for anything that happened, simply because they are pitbulls.

It seems the little dogs are more aggressive, like they have something to prove. I told the story before of a pack of Chihuahuas charging and surrounding my car as I was driving- they ran straight for my tires and I was barely able to slam the brakes in time. I got out to help them in case they were lost, but they were growling and barking, trying their very best to look fierce. They might have been funny were I not so pissed about someone letting their dogs run loose like that and almost getting killed.

Lucky little Chihuahua. Those pitbulls must have known him, why else would they have tried to save him?
I'd be scared for my pitbull getting into it with a coyote. I mean, it is good that they saved the other dog and all, but they could be out getting rabies and shit from coyotes.
awwwww that is so lovelygo pitbull gang!
That's true I hadn't even thought of that!!! Coyotes (at least the ones I've seen) are small and always run away from people and I'm sure they'd run away from my dogs if they were normal but if an animal has rabies, it's just crazy.
WAIT....ETA
Pitbulls were banned in Denver 5 years ago, did they lift the ban? If not, I seriously hope that this article won't lead to these dogs being "busted" or caught. Denver put to sleep ALL pitbulls it found if they were not relocated within two weeks of the ban, over 2000 dogsFor no reason, animal control could take your dog if they saw it. My friend Aly lived here at the time and has a 125lb pitbull she had to hide until she moved to MKE.
