It could have happened to me 11 years ago, the first time I came down here, I got into a brawl with 5-6 Miami punks and didn't win lol. A friend of mine stopped them just as they were about to literally kick my head in. I was unconscious after getting cold-cocked from the side and kneed in the head twice.
The next night I saw a guy beaten unconscious and they kept kicking him--he didn't have a friend to help him. They left him laying in a pool of his own blood.
I've also seen a lot of nasty shit walking home from work at 4:30 AM on the main party street, whether special events were going on or not. It tends to be worse when the Miami punks come down though.
